HIQS CERTIFICATION COVERNS THE SAFETY RISKS OF HOSPITALITY, CATERING, PERSONAL CARE, SPORTS AND RECREATION FACILITIES

While the food manufacturing sector and industry at large is widely governed by regulations, guidelines and standards to mitigate safety risks, protocols for the Hospitality, Catering, Personal Care, Sports and Recreation Sectors didn’t really exist to that extent prior to HIQS.

During the COVID-19 pandemic the requirement for proper health, hygiene and disinfection was highlighted. It became apparent that by wearing masks and sanitising often other illnesses such as the common cold and flu also reduced. Frequent sanitising of the hands especially in crowded spaces and social distancing is known to reduce risks of infection.

The HIQS systems were developed to provide these potentially high risk establishments, where there is a lot of close interpersonal contact, not only with the protocols but with workable quality management systems ready for implementation to mitigate infection risks.
